Back in the Scribble Shack

I'm back at home in the Scribble Shack this morning - thank you Lucy for coming up with a name for my writing shed/office/studio... Scribble Shack is great - after a great week with fellow authors at Charney Manor in Oxfordshire. Unlike this picture though it isn't nice and sunny - it's very wet and a little bit breezy.

I have a few more pictures from earlier in the week to put in my diary but that will have to wait until tonight as I have a story buzzing round in my head that just needs to be released... I've also got to go through some edits on another story and that needs to be done right now.

The Scribble Shack looks great - you must be chuffed to bits! And this awful weather is a very good test of whether it's waterproof... Any buckets needed?

Forgot to ask - when you've got it together, can we see a pic of how you have organised the inside? I am always curious to see artists' working spaces!

Hi Lynne

it's nice a waterproof - and so it should be - though it's not so bloomin' warm today.

I need to get electric put in before the end of summer as I'll need a heater and power for my laptop - the battery doesn't last long. At the moment I have an extension lead from the kitchen which means I have to leave the window open slightly. I prefer to use my laptop rather than a desk computer as it's nice to move around a bit and I certainly don't want a desk computer in here as it would be asking for trouble really. It's nice to know that my laptop is safely locked up in the house at night.

Good point about the internal picture - I'll do that when it's nice and sunny (it'll be a bit lighter then).
